Rattlesnake Master is like nothing else in the prairie — with its spherical, silvery-white blooms, yucca-like foliage, and ability to thrive in tough, dry conditions, it commands attention and feeds the ecosystem. From mid to late summer, Rattlesnake Master sends up tall, sturdy stalks topped with globes of tightly clustered, spiny white flowers. These blooms are loaded with nectar and pollen, attracting a nonstop parade of native bees, wasps, flies, beetles, and butterflies — some of which rarely visit other flowers.
